To say what? Goodbye. Been nice knowing you. Ridiculous! It’s too soon, I’m sure. To say what? Until we meet again… But what if we don’t? I fought. To keep our paths entwined. For friendship to survive. I failed. You’ve gone. Preposterous! It’s too soon, I know. Yet what else to do? You’ve taken your final bow, You’ve gone off-stage and Here I am. Alone. So many things to say But why address a brick wall? Perhaps it’s all been said, A hundred thousand times. You know where I am. It’s up to you now, I can do no more. Do no more but smile And move on, For I’ve done my best. It’s time to say, I’m not here anymore. I’m on another road. Learning how happy Life can be.
