Wow, Linda! There is such serenity in this picture and in your words! You are awefully good!

Being the sewing machine an old model, I immediately thought of my Grandmother whom I have seen at the machine so often, while waiting for some new doll-dress created by her.

Thank you for this little jewel.

Love and hugs.

Hi, Margherita!

I am pleased that I conveyed "serenity" in this painting. It was a magnificent spring day with the sun shining ever-so brightly. We were visiting a pioneer village and I asked this woman if I could take her picture. I wanted to capture that moment in time. I felt as though I had stepped into a past life!

I later did a very large painting from the photo I took ~ but I would never sell it because of the memories it evokes.

Thank you for such a warm response, Dear Heart!

Loveya!
Linda

Good morning, pixie Dixie! I like how you put that ~ "sharing yourself"! Because, that is what we all do when we express ourselves creatively!

Your talent is wonderful!  You ought to ask to see some of Sy's paintings sometime!  THEN, you two ought to collaborate on paintings AND poems!

The painting is exquisite, Linda, I love the lighting angles, the detailed highlighted objects...that sewing machine, such a fine line of detail!

As always, a finely written piece that conveys emotion.

Very impressive!

So much work in painting.

So few words, in capturing it.

I bow to your talent.

Hi, Sparkling Susan!

I am flying by the hem of my vestments when it comes to all this puter techy schtuff.

In a nutshell, this is what I do. I scan my photos to my PC and download them into a folder that I created for them. (I go into my documents, then into My Pictures, then into my Microsoft Organizer and then into a PHOTO folder that I created in the organizer.

Then I go into my Photo Impressions program and select my photo from my PHOTO folder. Then I can edit it ~ lighten, darken, crop, resize etc.

Then I go into Photobucket.com (free hosting for on-line albums) and Browse to find photo.

I hope this helps you. I have near gone nuts trying to figure this all out. Marge was helpful with the photobucket suggestion!

Thank you for your kind words! ~ and good luck with your endeavours in posting your photos!

Loving hugs,
Linda

Oh, Kacy! I darn near went nutzoid drawing that sewing machine! I did so many drawings of it, that I darn near ruined the watercolour paper with all the pencil marks!

I appreciate your appreciation of my artistic and poetic efforts!

Big hug!

(smiles) Awwwwwww, I can see soooooooo much how this brings back so many memories, for my grandma also loves to weave. She always loves to make these God's eyes and knit sweaters and pajamas with cute little smiling ducks on them, while my grandpa loves carpentry! (angel hugs) I love this, sweet friend, I think that artwork is my favorite of yours thus far, it has so much personality to it, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Linda, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
