A Watermelon Kinda Day ~*Grandma Poet*~ Delaney and Landry, gleefully at play Splish-splashing fun in the pool all day~ "Hey Mom … Hey Dad." The girlies start yellin' … "How’s about a little watermelon ?" No sooner asked … than it was done Delaney KNOWS this is so much fun ! Pipes in Landry, with a little shout, "Now THAT’s what I’m talking about !" ~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost, |

MartieSis~ I am sooooo laughing ... the other day Delaney and I were out in the yard and she proceeded to tell me how she could SPIT ! I ~Grandmotherly~ explained that spitting wasn't "ladylike" and not acceptable in polite society~ She quickly came back with two stories of certain 'relatives' (shall remain anonymous) who SPIT ... and told me she was going to tell them what ~Poet~ said~ Should have heard this ~Poet~ trying to talk her out of that one !!! But, knowing Delaney ... she'll tell 'em anyhow~ Love you, sis~ *Huglets* ~*Me ~*When the heart grieves over what it has lost, |

well sis, there is a difference between spitting spit and spitting watermelon seeds. The second kind is very acceptable while eating watermelon...especially if a contest is involved. It's all about who can spit the seed the furthest. I learned this art from a very respectable lady, my husbands grandmother!! |

Dear Marge: Priceless photos of those adorable girls! Thanks so much for sharing with us! They just get cuter by the day! I was taught to take my fork and remove the seeds from a slive of watermelon before eating it! I think I missed out on a lot of fun! Love Betty Lou Betty Lou Hebert |

I bet you removed the seeds before giving the girlies the watermelon? At least for Landry? Well, I know your girlies are smart and that they are able to solve the problem, but I wonder! Martie's method is so funny ... it means you will have watermelons growing all over the yard next year!haha These pictures are so lovely, dear Marge! I see the girls have fun, but Grandma Poet has fun too. Thank you for sharing! Love and hugs. Margherita |
