We attribute some traits such as "cunning" to crows.
See them furtively scan for all sign of their foes,
as the eyes of the prisoner, as those of the prey,
then exchange knowing looks, each of us, our own way.

May philosophy flit through my yard on a wing,
for, one cagey old bird with a notion to spring
from this cell of my making, with which, I've grown bored,
seeks to gain an insight that's not yet been explored.

Master Crow,
In that instant I saw though your eyes
the quite limitless scope of potential to fly,
there was caution transferred by our secretive glance. Which you may rest assured, will not leave here by chance.

By attributing traits such as cunning to crows,
working one more bar free of this cages' windows.

Doc

"May philosophy flit through my yard on a wing,

from this cell of my making, with which, I've grown bored,
seeks to gain an insight that's not yet been explored."

I yearn to fly too.  I really enjoyed your poem!
