If you seek me from one of the fine ribbons
I will be green    oh the grass and leaves
I will be blue
ocean eyes and water reflecting yellow

Can you see the opening
lit with roots and trees until they
make the moon a temple light
guarding the sanctuary?

I am singing a requiem (not of death)
but into the sleep of love
until dreams cannot be refused

Do seek me
find the ribbon that is air and wind
it passes you as you look to the ground
it is high and sky and turning as I call your name
into just a simple flame

M'Martie, now this is one of those poems that you hold on to, until it reaches that point where you can no longer, and it begs to be released. Yes? Yes! i think so.

Stunning.

love you

Yes...it is possible, I think, to understand a poem too well. I frankly don't know how to respond to this poem, except to say, dear Martie, that I hope this resolves, and brings you what should be. I can't do anything but hope, but hope I shall.

I wish I could offer comfort as well as hope, but as you know, I can't.

Dear poetess..this is poetry at its finest..truly a stunning, spiritual piece, and one that makes me wish i had wrote it, which is a poets highest compliment in my mind... one of your best( on a very long list)
ya had me from the title on.

I am sure of my reasons, embracing the seasons,
and the sacred simplicity of you at my side.

I think anytime one loves intensely, they hope that ribbon carries them... however far need be... you've written that yearning magnificently. *S*

Sighs...you leave the reader speechless, and a feeling of "sure wish I could give her a big hug and give her those dreams"...there is no God that would refuse you hope and dreams...so that's what I'll do, pray extra hard tonight, yours do come true...

Lady, your quit an artist...love you...whole bunches....
