Tough Man, this builder of fine stone And steel and brick; the walls that stood For thousand years; the pyramids Of Egypt past; the marble tombs And castle walls — and deeper, deeper Keeps — All to keep some in - and some out... But no wall will shield a woman’s smile... Yet, if you wish to test your strength — Just you try resist — if just for a while — And then tell me at great length If you have passed that fiery trial — “For her lips they curve as Cupid’s bow, Within her eyes raw diamonds glow; Her tresses flow as silken falls Yet shatter hardest marble walls — And as her eyes cut through my shell To cast within their stunning spell — Her smile then loads the fateful dart And finds the target of my heart...” But tell me, ‘Man of Steel’ and brick — Do you know what makes her tick? Sometimes a man gets the 'ticks' confused with the 'tocks'... Veil of Mystique... CG |
