The skies cried today I searched for your warmth In the mist You lied You weren’t always there You didn’t forever care And I slipped on the wet pavement Waiting for you You cursed me When I was too young To understand your hate was really guilt As an adult you forsook me Your failings too apparent In my eyes The skies sobbed today I fell to my knees to pray For your lack You died And I tried to forgive you I tried to uplift you But your soul is too heavy I wept for what you lost And how it hurt me "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |

Beautifully written, paints a portrait of a heavy soul in my mind. I will return to read this again. adagio |

Thank you all! This was just some memories from childhood and how sometimes the ones that are supposed to protect us, fail us. "too bad ignorance isn't painful" |
