We mouth hellos and goodbyes
‘neath a mountain of sighs
~disguise the lies in a wink of eyes~

but the pheromones just aren’t there

so I willingly slip
between the cracks,
surrender myself
to a Daliesque moment
and find myself crawling within
cracked sidewalks,
begging to re-invent myself,
like some proverbial errant weed seed
pushing itself through
tons of hardened (but cracked) concrete
and miniscule mindsets whose only goal
is to put the skids on
my evolutionary wings

and just where does a moth glide (or hide)
when city street lights glare harshly,
challenging its reality,
forcing it to compete
in a worrisome world where
the graceful butterfly
is the preferred choice?

I am a mere moth
hiding in the weeds

mind if I fly in your flame?
ya know I am loving this one Kacy-girl...the allits and analogy...love your metaphor here...of both moth and Dali...vey cool spin me girlie....now...about those butterflies...did you know the life span of a moth is twice that of the flutterby?
Unless of course we lose our minds over a pretty blue flame...oh but what a way to go...yayaya  lol mind if I file this in me library?
under G..for grooooovy

I am sure of my reasons, embracing the seasons,
and the sacred simplicity of you at my side.

Dali, my favorite for quite a while...

And, like this, there is always so much going on in his canvases
