and so, he paired a tenor
new connections, spinning the world
it is, that practice that keeps on foot
solar slogan’s crusading, illogical
within some genus initiative, providing framework
self-centered warmth alive, piling rocks
when body aches, its good enough
a place of worship in late afternoon

looking back at me with childlike heart
those dreams of being a gardener
greeting summer with open arms
when winter’s cold, finds it’s martyrs

it is a price I’d willingly pay
when weary stands firm and does it’s greatest
there, deep, alive, reside the spirits
abilities flaring spontaneous
in that ol familiar gut feeling
bone breaker mountains with rutted roads
pointing toward the far side
it is then, and only then, I know I’m alive

"it is then, and only then, I know I’m alive"
You are one gutsy gal...always writing from your heart and soul with such spirit, which I always admire.

"bone breaker mountains with rutted roads"

~ I've travelled a few of them myself!

Lee, in every poem of yours that I have had the pleasure of reading, there are always lines that stick in my head!

BTW I am glad that your determination has kept you alive!

Loving hugs,
Linda
