Insist

Your presence stays my mind a mist
My senses and my thoughts insist
It stays me like a shroud a cape
More a feeling than a shape

It dances in a fantasy
The essence of a lunacy
That fills the phantom of a crave
With the antics of a slave

I frolic in the uplift breeze
Delight in all its form and tease
Dance the rhythm of a beat
That moves my mind and not my feet

I drink this wine until I’m drunk
Chant the chanting of a monk
Keep it like a miser’s horde
And daily whisper, thank thee lord

Do I set the flame to bright?
I have no shame this candle light

Insist more, please...

Sy, my mind's eyes
sees the frolic
of a lovholic...

and nothing to turn away from...
so shroud not ye the sun...

This was delightful, Sy...
and you've pushed away
the gray of skies!

Oh, my Godness! I am currently playing my Chanticleer CD of Gregorian chants! I cannot tell you how many instances where I feel very connected to you, m'friend!

In fact, there have been umpteen different times when I will be about to post a poem, and I notice that the one you just posted had several lines or phrases that are the same as the poem that I was about to post!!!

I guess it's true what they say! "Great minds think alike!"  lol (Mind you, the "G" in your "great" is capitalized!)
