Blissful Jealousy

You have sharpened your blade
not in site of day
but by shadows in your mind,
of a candle’s shade…

I, yet forewarned,
know only the event to come.
Not the year, or day;
as your breath at night’s sleep
has kept me silently warm…

Polished steel will seek my heart,
on your minds command,
its guide will be your laughter
and, jealousy, its start…

When your deed is done,
my blood and your tears intermingled,
both will salute years past,
ending your spite for living free
and, at last,
your blissful jealously…

Sharp and clear, and one of your very best writes JL.  A very sobering reminder of the edge...

Hey JL, good Morning...

This is a totally different style of you then I'm used to reading...I've always thought your poetry to be tremendous, but this, is amazingly good...and for me, tops all your writings, now, one of my favorites...

Jealousy, is a green disease...which is the beginning of the end....it corrupts anything that was solid and good...and you've certainly showed the sharp edge of it...well done, my friend, well done!

Happy Friday!

If I didn't know better
I would say you'd been in
my mirror...

thank you for this, poet...

it is amazing that jealousy comes
in many forms...

and the worst of it steals...

that is a very very cool verse...
This is a clever write...impressive use of metaphor and symbolism as well as form...
I loved your rhyme scheme in this...it read aloud delightfully.
Very well done poet JL

JL, take a bow! This was an excellent poetic reminder of the havoc and destruction that can be wreaked when the green-eyed monster raises its ugly head.

Very well done!

Hugs with love,
EA
