Why does it have to hurt so much The letting go of someone you care about The thought of no longer holding them The no longer sharing of memories The numbness in your heart Grows bigger day by day And what little there was between you Will fade with time Only the emptiness remains |

This hits home for me. It does hurt but in my case it was for the best. Excellent. I am keeping this one. |

letting go is one of the hardest things to do, even if sometimes it is the best thing for us. Hugs and good luck to you. |

When you write of numbness, I feel a pain so intense as to paralize the heart, within your words. Yet to love is about giving, a well that is boundless, endless and eternal. We mourn the loss of those we love, yet we want their happiness to always continue. To be so unselfish is a divine quality, and we are only human...needing and wanting that same love to continue always. In some ways, I think it does...and it guides up on a path to greater happiness. We never let it go. Wonderful write. TD |
