Drafted fears of graduations,
Sound of silence-d memories,
Innocence upon a battlefield,
Haunting ghosts of friends past.

Dreams that keep recurring,
War in its worst drafting,
Carrying its agent orange effects
Defoliating bare human feelings.

Stripped crying reality of killing,
Mrs. Robinson baring it all,
Screwing of America’s innocence,
Teenagers upon killing fields.

Watching political conflict-ing movies
Turning into real wars of body bags
Reborn fears of Vietnam tears
Political son’s graduating reserves

Leading their own politics of conflicts.

Note: References made from the movie “The Graduate”.

Indeed...it does now and shall ever haunt...
well done D.Lester....

(big angel hugs) Though I was born over eight years after the war in Vietnam ended, I truly do feel the colossal tragedies of that era, for you don't have to be alive during a war to understand how tragic and heartbreaking it is, and I fear they are very much repeating themselves now in Iraq! (sad sigh) The similarities are staggering to me; the unpopularity of the war as it is here as Vietnam became later after it began, the cultural shock, corporations like Monsanto and Lockheed Martin again testing new weapons that have untold effects on health and reproduction, and administrations which are very irresponsible in the eyes of these wars! (sad sigh) God Bless You for posting this, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
