~ By Sue ~ As the sun starts going down And darkness comes closer My mind drifts back to the time When you and I were together I felt so much passion, as you held me In your arms so snug and tight As we sat that on the pond bank Waiting for the fish to bite at night I remember when you got a bite You struggled hard to reel it in Just as you got it to the band It got away and took off again You were as excited as a child Jumping up and down with such joy Just like a kid would always do When they got a very special toy There are no more days like that All the fishing poles you bought me Are collecting dust inside my garage Just bringing back those memories I picked out the ones I want to keep And am getting rid of all the rest I see no reason to keep any But I’m keeping the ones I like best Maybe, someday I will find someone Who would want to go fishing with me And wouldn’t care, if I caught them all But instead, with me would share my joy 5-8-05 |

Yup....find someone who shares the things that you enjoy Sue. Hugs, Chris Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance. |

Like you, Sweet Sue, I kept the good memories and threw away the bad ones! May the fisherman of your dreams come knocking at the door to your heart! Linda |

"I picked out the ones I want to keep And am getting rid of all the rest I see no reason to keep any But I’m keeping the ones I like best" kind of like the memories this part really stood out for me...very emotional...*hugs* |
