For years I have been
hoping someone would come
along and love me.
Some said they did
but they didn't.
Some said they would
but they couldn't.
Some said they would
love me forever
and they didn't even
know how to be
a friend.
If you truly love me,
go ahead and say so,
if not, please
don't pretend.
