Some seem insignificant, But I'm thankful just the same, For often they are greater than, The box in which they came. Judge not the book by cover, It measures not the words. It cannot differentiate, The whey from the curds. So, keep your mind unveiled, Open eyes and truly see. Serene One ~ Hello to you as well! I do believe that you are a nighthawk like I am! I love the night! The problem is that I also like the morning, the afternoon, and the evening! Even though it's 4:30 AM here and I haven't slept yet lol, I always love reading a poem of thanks. It's something I don't give enough of, and I love the reminders. ARH ~ Yeppers! I one happy little camper! ~ and VERY thankful! Whew! I've had several close calls over the past few years! Let's say that I am also thankful to have more lives than a cat's proverbial 9! I guess the Big Man upstairs wants me to stay down here a bit to continue writing poetry! lol EA |

She was kind of golden colored and she did not fly away when we got close (until my son got right on top of her....lol). That was one of my little miracles today. RedStone ~ Lee, the number of replies is not a true barometer of the merit of a poem. You write some phenomenal pieces of poetry. One of the reasons that many (not all! lol) of my poems receive so many replies, is that I spend a good amount of time responding to other poets' works. Another reason may be that I try to show my appreciation of those who read and respond to my poetry by responding to their replies. There are so many fine poets to choose from and I always feel honored when a reader takes the time to click on a poem of mine and write a response to it.
