Thoughts filtering stop them not going away - how - since midnight came to ravish me I feel the cold wind blow like the death knell would know and so she laughs at me - silly game I play - That's all right? I ruined everything make the day smile again - why doesn't she smile at me? why does everything feel so empty? who hurt me hurt you too I see it in your eyes - can't hide - no forever is gone you made forever die how did you do that to me midnight comes see dark see naught I close my eyes again I don't feel the pain it's all okay now - see - I can take care of myself big girl I knew I could do this I knew you didn't midnight comes why can't it stay? no more daylight no more pain no more waking up there the world turns come back midnight oh how I miss come back to me let me close my eyes let me push away the pain and then we can pretend - everything is okay agian - or something... |

Yes...for many people that is so. But night has the tendency to hide what's wrong in the world. Of course, you have to look at yourself more indeptly at night because you can't look at the world around you because it is black. Night forces you to deal with yourself. But it can also lend to a world where you can hide yourself away from the realities that are harsh and stark by daylight. In daylight you can't believe that you're in the rainforest when the desert stares back at you tauntingyly. At night you can make your desert landscape into anything because you can't see anyhting to know whether it's real or not. That's what's so lovely about night.
