Scarlet Tears
By Paul Wilson

I need someone too make me laugh
cause it feels better than crying
I'd rather have a smile on my face
than too watch myself slowly dying

Scarlet teardrops leave their stains
on this broken heart inside of me
I was always there for you
but you were never there for me

Sands of time begin their last
spiral downwards into regret
My heart still aches for you
but I curse the day we met

They say time heals all wounds
but nothing heals a broken heart
The end of me has just begun
today my world was torn apart

Reflections in the mirror shows
the sadness within my heart
I wonder if time will wait for me
and let me make a new start

You said I was all washed up
that you and I were through
I should have seen it coming
but didn't have a clue

The day is almost over
so we hit a couple of bars
We'll have a drink or two and
forget about being soap opera stars

Passing Shadows...Please read the last stanza again, this poem is just a little dark humor that came too me about the dual lives of soap stars that they play everyday....Paul

Thanks for caring...Paul

pouring jewels...Sorry if I confused you.
This was just a little dark humor from me.
Thank you for reading all the same...Paul
