Deep Blue Mergers We conversed along the pause of a riverbank Off beat humor and flirted eyes When he spoke to me, he made his shoulders broader And my hands felt smaller in the wake In the tone of gentle give and take Sweet the air, that still will call me there When I was searching for the better parts of me Holding on to grounded so tenaciously Innate the words that soothed Emotion as lotion, spread Every fiber soaking up the spill so red Heard through a loving heart, what was not said And the wind howled out its loneliness Moving us together through a distant dream What had come was unforeseen Tiniest of gems that glistened…listened In the cricket cool of evenings jewel Returned my lingered soul to rest Beside that riverbank where I was blessed And night became my company to keep Copyright Kkh 05/04/05 |
