We are each small cities and our sidewalks are such vast lakes full of this heavy spring where we have lost so much where we have held a round and aching sadness in our centers; we asked (kind and holy) for something honest and have learned rain. |

Alicia "we asked (kind and holy) for something honest and have learned rain." Pondering and lovely, you are! |

The title to the end, you reach to the heart... "what comes" "and have learned rain." As if to taste the tears, this poem finds a deep reflection. |

every time i read you... i realize how much i've missed reading you. i think this goes up toward the top of my "A" fave's; historical and succinct, yet carried across in an atonal melancholy that still hints at... oh yeah, summer. egowhores.com - really love yourself. |

You speak me dear lady. Finally, someone on here that truly understands. If I were to touch you, would you bleed a velvet river, running miracles through the sodden ground? --Moi |
