The Love Of Heroes For our veterans of Vietnam. The heat swelters and the miles pass, waiting to hear the deathly blast. Never a quiet moment, a shot, a bomb, another night of sacrifice in a land called Vietnam. Raise the memory of their lost souls. Never forget their dreams and goals. They fought and died for a land they knew not. Freedom for all is what they sought. Oceans of tears have stained their wall, sacrificing for others, hear their call. With the whispering wind, it’s carried on high, over majestic mountains and a thundering sky. Stop and listen. Clear your mind. The love of heroes is what you’ll find. Copyright, Kevin V. I can tell this is an older piece for you. It still has a clear and concise message...but knowing your more recent work it was a shock to see the rhymed pattern. This is a great poem too my friend. Loved it! |

"They fought and died for a land they knew not." Yup. It was a hell of a thing. Well said. |
