Gather witches summoning
upon the Brocken, peaked might
Mephistopheles
is beckoning
in urgency against the night -
Faust is dancing dab of quib
and ink is splotching lenient
let there blot a silhouette
and dot the dashes of a nib
puddling the songs.

I sing

This--I play the final spade--
into the earth in crave of grave
spirits thus released at last
in the muted rainbrow grays
of blues and oranges inside
the shovelful of clay upturned
sing to me of Walpurgis
and spark a tambourine.

I pray

Benedictine monks and grass
we snipped into obedience
embellishing the vines we cried
"Shake the rattle" witnessing
Abbess of the Heidenheim
trilling tongues of trellises
fluttering the tin
to fits
make it go away

I die...

praying for the witnessing

hands across the sky

receive

Beltane and a jubilee
ribbons wafting wait the weave
as the bells of ankles dance
dazzling the dust
we prance
reflections of a fire play
in the sparks of near-to-us

smoldering the green

We see -

and dance the universe.

Because I love my yeti...

and sorry if this'n wasn't all that, Ed. I haven't written anything in ages. But I did dress funny and called the corners. That felt good anyway.

Blessed be baby.
