It's 64F in Fairbanks, Alaska right now
and 63F in McMinnville, Oregon.

What is the weather
in your neck of the woods?

The days are longer
or so they say
but I still find myself
behind in every way
and no matter what the temp is
it never is perfect for me,
so I try not to pay too much mind
to whatever the thermometer might be

somewhere in the world
it must be
perfect

if you know of this place,
please feel free
to notify me
so I can see
about another latitude
or longitude change

when in reality,
it's only an attitude change
that can set me free
to enjoy
whatever
it is
today.

Have a great day!

*quietly humming a Jimmy tune*
quote:

CHANGES IN LATITUDES, CHANGES IN ATTITUDES  Jimmy Buffett
I took off for a weekend last month
Just to try and recall the whole year.
All of the faces and all of the places,
wonderin' where they all disappeared.
I didn't ponder the question too long;
I was hungry and went out for a bite.
Ran into a chum with a bottle of rum,
and we wound up drinkin' all night.

It's those changes in latitudes,
changes in attitudes nothing remains quite the same.
With all of our running and all of our cunning,
If we couldn't laugh, we would all go insane.

63, Oregon and Alaska were banana zones yesterday.....it was 40f at 3 p.m. yesterday here in north central Pa. and to add further misery, it was very windy, the kind of day that drys out your eyes and gives ya a wind burned face...

Don't change your latitude, Kacy

I do like the attitude of this poem......

smiles at this and you...reminds me of my girlfriend, who adores Jimmy.  She told me once, while her and her hubby were heading down south...one of her dreams is to sit back and have a drink with him...thank you for writing and sharing.

Lee, he really is a neat guy. I met him once long ago (at the beach of course).

He and my brother were friends...long story...

would love to hear the story and share it with my girlfriend, she loves him...and would really love to sit and chat with him...by the beach...whenever she comes down your way, that is always what she says she's going to do.  Yes, he seems like he's always in admiration of life.

Oh Lee, it was years ago. I think I may have even still had his "Son of a Sailer" album on an 8 track.

I'm not sure if he used to live here, or had a condo on the beach or whether he was vacationing. This is a popular spot for tourists.

I saw him through a child's eyes. Everthing is spectacular through a child's eyes. I don't think I completely grasped who he was like an adult would. I knew he sang the songs I loved and that he was a pretty neat guy.

It was a group of friends, hanging out, drinking, talking, laughing...I was kind of a tag-along I guess.

I rememeber asking him if he really liked cheeseburgers. He put his hat on my head and said "yep".

That's about all I can remember. I suppose my brother has the stories...maybe one day he'll share them with me.

Well it's about 79 degrees in Marrero at about 7pm. But it does not matter how hot or how cool you may feel as long as you are comfortable with yourself.

he came in concert not too long ago. I had to work but my brother went. I would have loved to see if he remembered me from oll those years ago...the little girl that hated cheese and tomatoes and lettuce on a burger, but loved his hat.
