Beautiful Woman

I know I don't know you
but I'd sure like to
and I'd like to think I know your spirit
it's this little gift I seem to have
and I'd wish for a gift like you
with your red hair cascading
and your smile wrapping around my heart
you're a beautiful woman, inside and out
I'd sure like to know all about you

I do know you're something else
you seem to me to be one hell of a woman
all sunlight and autumnal glow
your grace and kindness amazes me
you toe the line between cute and sexy
like nobody's business
I see the wonder in you, even from far away
you're a beautiful woman, without a doubt
I'd sure like to wander all about you

I'd like to say more about this;
beautiful women are a dime a dozen
so I should rephrase this heart speak of mine
you're simply the most divinely beautiful woman
that I've ever seen
I don't say these things in hope you'll come discover me
I say 'em because they need to be said
the world needs to shine in the wonder of you
and you're making great progress so far
the camera captures your heart for me and everyone
that sees the great spirit of you, bright and vibrant
you're a walking painting
framed somewhere in heaven
look at me, I'm creating new cliches
let me just say you amaze me
you're one hell of a beautiful woman
I'd sure like to get to know you more
and maybe I will someday

Yeah, you're where it's at
yeah, you look cute in that hat
and I sure do love your tattoo
yeah, I'm thinking about you

Yeah, he's a lucky man
the one you hold in your hands
Elvis Costello singin' his song for you
and yeah, I'm singing for you too

I think I know her. Well at least I've seen her. But don't stop creating new cliches.
