Hard Shell I have heard the whispers from a woman’s heart That say men do not shed tears; But if you ask the trenches of the deepest seas And bask in the rains that fall from saddened skies, They will slowly trickle hidden emotions, Onto the tips of thirsty tongues While a man dreams to forget And dreams to remember; Let the unbelievers drink from the struggles of his soul. Open your mind as you experience solitude, Cover your ears as you experience peace, Close your eyes as you experience a euphoric intoxication, Surrounded by black gold and red gems, Sparkling like the many eyes of God. Funny how the smallest places can become comfort Even when seen from afar like so many stars--- Flashing to be admired, Flashing to be remembered; Picture the scene into focus And cry aloud into caverns, Echoing an already burdensome avalanche onto the weeping man Who sits alongside a canal of thoughts and emotions, Smiling to protect himself from his true self, Sifting through the debris of pain and happiness, Pebble by pebble… A man who loves and forgives more passionately, The life will allow him to show. Very, very nice. Much enjoyed. Chris Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance. |

Bravo, New Friend. As for your critique message...quite the contrary. You have made me, and a few others I'm sure, better with this work of art. Congratulations! Yv-Goddess of Her Domain. Symbol of Truth Passion Pain. Let Her Smile Rain on the Hearts of the Innocent. |
