Unwilling Shopper A tyranny of Too bright flowers as boxes Of asphalt french-fries. Come, strip mall haiku, Big box discount center Zen, Mad crowd senryu! Quiet pools glisten: Grease in the parking places. Cars that drip shop here. I shop here; I drip My own oil of discontent; I must stink like them. Converge on the mall; Scale the dead escalator, Ants on a corndog. Happiness depends On this place, so the ads say; Misery sounds sweet. |

is this the place where you get one of those yellow smileyface stickers slapped on your kid's hand when you come through the door and have a cart pushed in front of you so you can buy more without straining your arms waiting at the check-out for 20 minutes? hehehe...I do hate shopping |

I shop here; I drip My own oil of discontent; I must stink like them. Oh, no, my friend. *S* Never!!! *S* You simply tell it how it is... for all of us who lack that shopping gene... and for the discerning among those with it. *G* And that closing senyru.... LOL That could be me... is me... on any excursion with my sister! LOL I love this!!!! *S* |

Ed Oh man...this is me! I hate to shop...something about it makes me feel phobic...and I was just at that stripmall...never could figure out why they call them that....they strip you of your money maybe? Anyway, this was great fun to read and also well done, of course. |

So much truth, Ed. I remember not going into a store (or leaving my home) for a year...unless forced by others. ... saved money that way M |

A satirical look at the contemporary lifestyle, eh? You captured the unwilling shopper well, sounds like most of the men that I know and a few women.. myself? I enjoy window shopping but keep the wallet closed. Enjoyed the consistent, sharp tone. |
