I don’t know for what life is meant |

I don’t know for what life is meant As we grow old together Might there be a secret leant That we can break this tether Too far to take the first path back For I forget the way When did the bugs of dread attack? And burden me each day Changing, ever changing I know what comes at end To now be rearranging More hardships only send Questions, all too many Fill me to the brim The answers, hardly any Again tomorrow grim But mercy will come calling If that is what will be And questions will be answered If I confide in me |

Do any of us know? Among shy green the redbuds spot the woods, and I wonder why Spring teases me with her little riddle of rain. I've waited patiently to see the of birthing Spring, And here...in wetness I complain! But drop upon dribble, I find answer to riddle; The bark is painted black, a greater contrast to each petal and leaf, Freshly washed and waxed! Vibrancy with the rain. Thanks, Rick, for the inspiration. I hope things start to look up. I've often wondered why there has to be pain, but then again, why the rain? miscellanea |

Rick, I'm glad I could offer. I've read your poetry before, and this one seemed so off-color for you, although masterfully written. (You have always been one of my favorites with your shining optimism and sincerity.) I wish you the best in the sorting. Though uncomfortable, it oftens bring the most wonderful poetry. miscellanea |

Some small questions here, dear Rick! Seymour says it ... if you search, you find answers inside. It's in our nature to wonder, especially about the mystery of suffering. Well done. Love, Margherita |

Seymour, nice to see you here my friend, thank you for your reply, appreciated. Dear Sea, ain't that the truth, so may questions, one answer at a time though, thanks for your reply. Dear Margherita, the misery comes out in the words, but I'm OK, it is funny, when you start writing, words just come out, they might be true feelings or just something that had to come out. Days are good, I have my friends and I can share, thank you for your reply, it was great. Dear Dixie, the anchor, I think you know what it is all about, thanks again for your reply, see you again soon. To you all my friends, thanks again, you are all great, be well and take care. Sincerely Rick |

I know that some parts of it are meant, but the reasons often elude.....one such mystery has been part of my life for more than four decades....and what would that be? It's also meant that I not say so casually...... |

As we age, the anwers become more elusive. And then, the questions become pointless. But all are subject to poetry. Enjoyed your take. glider |

Just when you think you might have all the answers....someone or something comes along and changes all the questions! Good write Rick. Enjoyed. Hugs, Chris Poetry is an echo, asking a shadow to dance. |

James, thank you for your reply, as we grow older just more questions need to be answered, good to see you here. glider, the answers are truly harder to find as I am getting older, finding the right answers is even harder, thanks for yoru reply. Dear Chris, that puts a new take on it all, finding all the wrong answers would be terrible, nice to see you here, thanks for your reply. To you all my friends, thank you once again for your comments, each one has been appreciated. Sincerely Rick |

Rick I think what is important is that you ask...and that you expect the answer to come from within. |

Rick, good morning, thank you so for writing, as your words are always gently searching... During a very hard difficult seperation and divorce, my son once said to me...mom, we never truly know all the answers...so true, so very true...and I believe, what comes in the end, is the harvest of the work we've done here, perhaps rewarded, perhaps not...but it is, and will be, to me, a step over onto another plain...and perhaps that plain will be according to our life style here? Hugs to you always, thanking you for such lovely thought provoking poems... |
