This other world I begin to glimpse has nothing but plain salts for sense sans anything yeasty to make words rise to higher, fluffier, loaf-bread size Saltine! I dreamt I woke in that strange, strained place where every word means an ex-act taste and nothing more from them to savour but only to box in the tongue's flavour Herbicide! Without a doubt, that world was queer Brown and weedy; no poesies dear No precious Al's, but only Ill-usions lied, not laid, in prosaic confusions Recitation! "Stocks rose higher in active trading while the NASDAQ index reacted vigorously to the news that the semiconductor..." Wake up! An awful dream that was, was all, where roses were locked in stocks, and all that could be fed upon was not even saltine but silicon |

You've writen words but: No audience, no delivery, no thought you haven't destroyed, no message. You written for yourself and we all do that but "it is only for yourself". It doesn't mean the talent isn't there; it is; what is missing is the audience. Dave |

Heh-heh-heh...'tain't so....about half of my poetry is actually prose, and I don't hear many complaints about it being flat....the key is, to do flavorful things no matter what you're writing -- something as mundane as a business memo can show humanity and creative use of language. Here's some prose of mine.... /pip/Forum92/HTML/000198.html /pip/Forum92/HTML/000129.html /pip/Forum92/HTML/000130.html ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
