As I work through old stuff I find the themes that had me just write to capture ideas, words, and I always wrote on a theme, which in a creative period ends up somewhere, and often deleted, depending upon the mood. Dave Real originals of Stone then Echoing Mirrors With respect I face you on a bad day Rippling chimes of wind To preserve my ego In your face The presence of life For you have life In an inanimate I face you on a bad day I come to you to bring me life I sit before you, have the time I await the wind, the cleansing rhyme I face you as I should With the wind crescendo I face you I am dirty I come to be cleansed I come for your peace I come for an end No-one in this life knows You're innermost thoughts You are to them A game For me You bring a feeling of strength You bring the past You tell me of the future You give me peace at last Echoing mirrors on a reflection of torn thoughts that in spring danced in buds to steal hearts We danced in spring tilting hair to delights in grass Becaming an image that danced as we thought of flowering next year In winter warmth as the caress of the high trees touched the bark in the winds And we made ideas as gentle and empty as thoughts watching bright fires fallen to lost images Sparkling in the fire we feel to know As dawn rises to in summer heat moving winter cold to spring ideal |
