The bridges here
are made of wood
painted red,
white,
and sometimes brown.

You rarely see
more than two
or three
cars upon the road,
which in winter, because of snow,
is almost always closed.

You sit for hours
and feel no need to say a word,
watch the clouds.  At night the stars
fill the entire sky.

I still remember
what I did when I was young;

I no longer bother
to wonder why.

Anyone with reason I often think

Would not be a woman

Sexist racist call it want you want but too many years paying for a control freak who even now listens to an alarm clock I should switch off

But then again

The alarm runs down and the owner expects someone else to attend to it

Life fails and someone else will attend to it

I like your words for their honesty and even after hundreds of years

Honesty doesn't seem to matter
