Unseen strings of wanting more but always getting less manacle the hands to despondency and tie the heart to bedposts of disability. Draped in somber darkness of an emotional abyss I thought why not traverse this territory of dirt tomorrow when the sun rises up yet once again. And the moment turned to years before the light of dawn while the moon told fairy stories to my receptiveness huddled so confined in a corner of my dreams. The mulberry bush and I, friends for quite a while, whispered a last goodbye while the four and twenty blackbirds sitting on a wire took bets on my ability to walk in a straight line. But the hands of truth and life put a compass in my brain and set it so to lead straight to being free over pebbles of heartache at what could and should have been. There’s a place for everyone to bury dreams of more and a time to understand … only love can set you free from walking round the mulberry bush not getting anywhere! Helen / 16 April 2005 |

Dixie - Yes, we circle until the time is right but there will come a time of finality. Thanks, James, for the read. |
