                         My discontented Spring

I need to get writing again
                         somehow
though I don't know the way
                         anymore
lost in the here and now
                         suspended

                         when someone would ask
                         "why do you write?"
                         I would always answer
                         simply
                         "it is merely me
                         exploring"

                         but since you have been
                         silent
                         I have heard nothing but
                         the wind
                         burying the footprints
                         that I was following

Yes..you have been gone too long Kraw.
This has such an undertone of ache..
so good to read you again.

But into my heart
It was not my lips you kissed
But my soul

Kraw, I do know this feeling, yes

we should be abound with Spring poetry just gushing from the pen,
shouldn't we? Yes. But there's only that wind.

The sand leaves footprints that removed by the sand echoed in

Another past

That echoed again

in

The future

Krawdad,

Seem to understand this...  Sometimes, I don't write because everything is coming up roses, or quite the opposite, when I can't get a handle on anything.  In either case, it is as you say, in writing we "discover".

Hi Krawdad....seems like every time I reply to a poem of yours I say how good it is to see you.  Again, it's been awhile.  I'm having trouble writing too.....and know the feeling you are describing here.  Stick around...the more you write, the easier it becomes.

I've been missing your footprints. Time to dust off those hiking boots, climb that poetry mound, and let us see the view from your vantage point again. thanks for this gift!

oh wow, my friend!...I like the way you've written down your writer's block!

"...but since you have been silent I have heard nothing but the wind burying the footprints that I was following"
gives an eerie, somewhat lonely feel...

enjoyed...
