Freddy was ready To have him a date, But Suzie the floozy, Was running quite late. She had told Freddie, I’ll see you at eight, And it was ten-thirty, Isn’t love great? You see our poor Freddie, Lived all alone, Had nary a girlfriend, No calls to his phone. Til one day at the Piggly, Piggly Wiggly that is, Freddy went shopping, When he heard a fizz, He turned and was startled, A can of grape Nehi Lay there on the floor, Squirting right on her thigh, Suzie’s left thigh that is, Right there on her leg, And down there beside her, A busted raw egg, She cooed at poor Freddy, Oh me, oh dear my, I’ve dropped all my groceries, I’m afraid I might cry, Freddy knelt down beside her, And said let me help, When she stepped on his fingers, Freddie let out a yelp, Oh, I’m so sorry, Suzie the Floozie did say, With her cleavage a showing, A right fine display, Suzie said stranger, You’re kind of cute, Let’s go on a date, It might be a hoot, I’ll come by tomorrow, I’ll be there at eight, Just give your address, We’ll have us a date. So Freddie got ready, He was dressed to the nines, He been ready since noon-time, Had been practicing his lines, But Suzie the Floozy, A no-show I fear, She had got side-tracked, Least-ways I did hear, So Freddie got ready, To have him a date, Alone by the telephone, Poor Freddie did wait, He waited til midnight, Ain’t love just great? |

Monday morning smiles are always a good sign the week will go well, despite poor Freddie's circumstances. Thanks, Chief! |
