She’s waiting

She’s waiting for you
To pretend it matters

That the sky
Was never so blue

The room is dark
Its curtains are drawn

Somewhere outside
An invisible dog
Barks in a neighbor’s yard

Sea,

Whatever its merits,
my things, if at all,
draw response
from a varied audience.

Thank you for reading . . .

This is a good one; I like the use of imagery in the poem!

She’s waiting for you
To pretend it matters

God, that bites down hard and shakes
I never thought of it like that before?

I'd rather hurt a thousand times, then have someone pretend...that would be an amputation of the heart....mind and soul
