From Time To Time

I looked up to you
when our love was new
You were my whole life
when I was your wife

I held you inside my heart
there you would never part
You always made me smile
atleast, for awhile

I felt a love, unlike before
then, it was there no more
My world was turned upside down
loneliness is all I have found

I think of you from time to time
it seems you never leave my mind

Oh, sweet Sue. I felt your words, for I too was in that place at one time. Fortunately my soul mate appeared out of thin air and I have never looked back. ~ Well, perhaps just a little bit every now and then ~ but the pain is gone. Now I just have the occasional touch of wistfulness when I think of the early years.

I so very much want your heartache to go away and have it replaced with joy!

This is still a fresh wound? I sense so. However you deal with the loss, the "venting" you do in poetry of this quality is justified because your words are well chosen and universally identifiable. You teach me.

Now--- to heal. How? Time alone won't be the full cure. A new life for you is ahead. Are to to find it? You can and I hope it's tomorrow becoming today; never only yesterday.
