Culture thrives incandescent
A white gull perched across it’s breast
Sea-like words rafting verbs
Drawing repetitious movements
Siren of a mermaid watchful
Moments of beauty and hope
Fleeting, like the dance of a monarch
Growing social laced collars lyrical
Inside the rain

I let go of a mortal world
Cooling flesh in the ocean
A place we find, when we close our eyes
Standing beside substance
Like the scent of a tangerine
Segments of depth-change
Rehearsing the storehouse of quiet space
Living with an on-going hum of silence

It is the culture of brotherhood
With a few more steps & crowds
Having seeds of stillness
Like it’s supposed to
Inspirational backdrops
Playful motivations of melody
Round dancing earth

I stand there alone with the moon
Soft in sacred twilight air
In the middle of this sea
It’s so good to be here
For a moment I’m a first grader again
The mermaid winks liquid words
Flooding the darkest corners of soul
With a smiling circle
Clan to this corn

Many thanks to anyone and everyone, who has ever touched my life
Even in the smallest ways are giant waves...

Lee, I do believe that this may be one of my favourites of your poems that I have had the privilege of reading!

May you continue to be blessed with special people in your life!

But it takes someone like you, a kind and generous person to notice, and then be grateful.
You Lee J…  Yep, “DA-BOMB”

P.S.
(And I’m heading out to Vegas)  Got $10.00 to put down on red.

Strange, how we have come
from the sea,
just to find salt of the earth
type poems, like this one.

Enjoyed it so much, Lee.  Thank you.

LeeJ,

"A place we find when we close our eyes"
what a fine place indeed. This one takes me to that place, thanks for that!
