Called to arms the faithful mourn the comfort zones of long ago and move in somnambulistic state within creation’s tumble wheel elongated and not round. Blows the wind of life my heart beyond remembrances of past and way beyond the split of me into this feel good state of being. Shimmers so the sphere of soul, in effect the home of all it knows, but too it breaks and shatters some within the strife of mindless crime marching always unaware from growth spurt to growth spurt. ‘tis cowardice that so confines the mindset of the merciless in a bubble soon to fuel the fire of its very own and permanent bonfire of demise. Called to arms is one and all to fight the gift of human will that easily, so easily, flies way beyond the reach of love’s so tender touch. Today my hands in upward plea, my heart an open book, yet still the tears of fear release haunt the core of my belief … because I’m still a baby, see, in the throes of a growth spurt! Helen, this surely was an all-ecompassing poem....so many things said. Brilliantly done, and I know how you feel. ....jo |
