a lesson in resilience |

They surf the seas of rich green waving field grasses. Hundreds of Canadian geese seeking safe sanctuary land en masse as an approaching storm thunders its warning, it's time to sit tight, wait this one out. Even the wary resident fox looks over her shoulder, (as well she should) while leaping across the open field in plain view, scarcely giving me (or nearby roosted chickens) so much as a cursory sideways glance. The air feels heavy. Fields of knee-high cover crops bend to the wind’s pressure, waving the message to me it’s only through such resilience they survive. I nod in acknowledgement, moving forward with cautious resolve. Mother nature’s lesson will not be lost in the approaching storm. |

Maybe its time to take some photos, and send them to you. It's a scene I've seen a few times while driving my daughter to the horse barn. I often stop a watch the birds and critters before heading back into town, which is fortunatley a mere five mile drive. You are welcome anytime. |

"it’s only through such resilience they survive. I nod in acknowledgement, moving forward with cautious resolve." I further acknowledge with a nod... often feeling like the geese and fox, happy that I am alive, but striding cautious... enjoyed ____________ice/ford ><> |

Smiling and inviting you to come and visit. This scene takes place on rural farmland here in Yamhill county. The rainbows are vivid 3D bands of beauty when casting their colors over the fields. The view in the distance of Mt Hood on a crystal clear day is magnificent. I am never bored on that morning drive. Thanks for visiting with me! |
