God’s Blessings? |

To those who insist God blesses them with their good things I’d like to propose this: Leave all your good things behind re-locate to some Third World country where poverty, disease and famine are the order of the day: will the same good things keep coming? To any thinking person, it’s quite clear only a very sick “god” would condemn millions to daily starvation while filling the trough of the fat cats. Fortuitous circumstances, protection by powerful military machines, not God determine who gets and who loses; so it has always been and so it will continue to be until we realize our personal responsibility in all the horror and mayhem done on planet Earth. |

Sometimes Life is hard. Poeple bleed and you have to work hard to have what you have. I think flustrations of the world get mixed up with idealism and it becomes a ball of rubber bands (If you throw it it will bounce back at you.) I like to trust in god verses count my blessings like a trophy. Life is some thing wonderful don't live it placing blame and hurt. I heard the hard voice of the realist in this piece...no hate, no blame...just fact. In the poetry of life, there is fact...and mystery. These very third world impoverished brethren pray for the gift of sunshine and rain to ease and nourish them. In our decadence, we sometimes forget the simple joy of being. Very thought provoking write. Enjoyed the spirit here. TD |

If you can't give God credit for the good things, how can you blame him for the bad...James |

Hmmm... yes I suppose. I still stick with my stand point that Trusting in god is better then blaming and putting your blessings like a trophy. I even predicted what the responce of my thought in that post. I know poeple won't agree with me. I feal there is a reason good and bad things happen and I use those events as lessons and I grow from them. There are all good thoughts here. It is the poem that was put forth for critique. If, as I did, you read the words again... you may come away with a meaning that is different than the one you first captured. It is not a statement about God, as I read it...it is a statement about people taking responsibility for their actions and not claiming a higher power is responsible. We each hold our own beliefs. A very good write will inspire all kinds of reaction, just as this did. No doubt, we are blessed to have this conversation. Couldn't help but come back and hug you all. TD |

so it has always been and so it will continue to be until we realize our personal responsibility in all the horror and mayhem done on planet Earth. I thank God for life alone, nothing more, asking for nothing more...I came in naked and that's how I'm going out...and in-between, hope and pray, that there is just one life, that I've might have made a possitive difference in...once a short time ago, got caught up in self indulgence...and have paid the price....so hopefully, we all learn, bringing each other forth to harmonize... Thank you for this |

Actualling I got exactly what the poem said, I disagreed with the message that is all. I didn't say the poem sucked I disagreed with the poem. Juju - 1.) a magic charm or fetish 2.)Magic 3.)A taboo connected woth the use of magic |
