THE JUDGMENT I can’t decipher this unrest nor can my mind surmise The argument that flickers in the haze before my eyes I can’t give thought to a debate of which I’m not a part That tears the fibrous sentiments of someone else’s heart If I could wake I’d see my name in lights across this land And justices who deem my care by raising of a hand Though fate will be determined in a courtroom so remote Where no judicial panel reigns, and man will never vote The date I take my exit from this unassuming stage Is a day that is already written on a heavenly page Speak not my name when I am gone, ask not if it was just It is within the hands of God I place my only trust There is no loved one competent to say what’s right or wrong I only know within this fray is not where I belong My God will speak in silent ways that we can’t understand For it is He who will refrain, or raise a judge’s hand Elizabeth Santos |

Jews and Christians say God, others say other things.... But whatever the source, I believe people are given tests. Sometimes they're obvious and agonizing, sometimes so subtle no one could possibly notice, but they're tests of who we really are. Nations receive tests too, and I can't avoid the haunting feeling that we just failed one. It may be that when history books are written with America in past tense, this will be noted as a convenient reference point for talking about the way we chose to be as a civilization. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |

a tragic issue indeed speaking for myself, I would not want to be kept alive like that. If God wants to take me, then let Him. No sense in fighting it. |

The day will come that even judges have to meet the ultimate judge. Hopefully, for their sakes, He will be more merciful to them than they were to Terry. Excellent words, m'lady Santos |

Nice writing...if our lives are in the hands of Judges, perhaps we should be a little more selective of who we place in these positions...James |
