Before i knew

I've seen so many places,
Touched those man-made crafted surfaces-
swam through a oceaned calmness
still feelings emptiness without you.
Still you were never there back then;
before i knew this meaning of love.

From deep within the soul,
knew i knew you somehow-
before i saw those passionate eyes
you always had a place inside.
A missing piece you were to me;
a jigsaw unfinished now complete.

Those words i should of said to many,
moments passed and gone-
the words never formed don't seem to come
Can't explain these hightened feelings.
But watch my eyes in silent moments;
listen to the whispering soul-
what always belonged to you
then you'll know my meaning of love.

~ I especially appreciate the lines above. Love is great when the pieces fit together and make a beautiful picture.
