Velvet Soldiers once there was fire from your fingertips where tenderness should have been duty the only whisper in the wind I too heard that howling but it too came with unanswered emotion standing on tiptoes stretching to reach the sun where color trembles in comparison edging me closer to something I had yet to know we could have missed the point but in the fabric of time a wide seam allowance at the same time in different places we both stood on mossy ground you marched right, I took a wrong turn chewed in the mouth of raw earth between the rows of shiny white teeth that no brace could have made straighter we both could have ended there but the story was not yet over our wars have now stopped and there is some kind of peace here well, there is for me I hope there is for you just some words cut out |

I have so been there! But through it all, finding our peace and wishing the same for those who touched our life with their love, is all we can really hope for. Lovely, Helen~ |
