Au revoir et l'adieu You say you are a good christen, That your strength is that you listen, I beg to differ... Jezebel, You mark not my tears that glisten. A smile sometimes is a farewell— —A kiss' the clang of a death knell, So here's a smile and kiss for you, Au revoir et l'adieu mon Michelle. In cockcrow's we've yet to view, Color me not in words untrue, For to untruths, I'd not listen, They breed feelings of déjà vu. |

Parting can be such sweet sorrow, ~ and it can also be the absolute pits. You poetically expressed the first scenario, Dear Poet. EA P.S. I wasn't always an "angel". When I was a teenager, our church had a halloween party for the "Young People". We were to dress in biblical costumes. I went as Jezebel! That caused quite a stir with the Elders! lol |

Ce poème est simplement grandiose. J'aime le reflux et le flux, ,,it se sent juste. Charmant écrit mon ami. Michelle |

Thank-you everyone for the comments. I really am surprised this poem was received so well...especially with the line of French thrown into the middle of the verse. http://ets.freetranslation.com/ For those who would like to know exactly what the line says. And Michelle_loves_Mike thank-you for the wonderful comment. I had to cheat myself to translate your reply...it is a bit beyond my grade 7 French. Thank-you everyone. Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history! |
