I AM I am caught between the layers of reflection and true. I wonder what is behind the mirror if I break through. I hear the summer's breeze reminding of happier times. I see a face that lights from the shadows, always in rhyme. I want to touch it, desiring once more to view. I am caught between the layers of reflection and true. I pretend I am shared, in totality with you. I feel the glass walls that build my mirror for two. I touch the world of loving, slight of hand in myst. I worry these lips will never again be kissed. I cry for all losses and those moods of my blue. I am caught between the layers of reflection and true. I understand and am saddened by thoughts that accrue. I say I am wrong, but there's no chance of renew. I dream of tomorrows where I am not alone. I try but the mirror throws back hurt words to own. I hope to be forgiven one day, in review...for I am caught between the layers of reflection and true. ~A~ |
