Crooked arms waving beckoning to me as the March winds whistle a familiar tune of nature's renewal. I approach hesitantly, my hair whipping in the breeze like unattended ribbons on a May pole. The sharp call of a jay catches me off guard. Looking up, my face is teased, tickled by velvet, grey kitten toes. My sweater catches, snags as I twirl and giggle within it's paw-like grasp. Ah yes! Revival! Another winter endured Another spring to celebrate And I am but a human ball of yarn To the playful pussy willow. . . . Chris Barker ~~~~~~ |

Nightshade, Truly a touch of radiating Spring! Over the past couple of years, I've catalogued many poems, but this has got to be one of my very favorites. I can't describe how free it makes me feel... miscellanea |
