Crooked arms waving
beckoning to me
as the March winds
whistle a familiar tune
of nature's renewal.
I approach hesitantly,
my hair whipping
in the breeze
like unattended ribbons
on a May pole.
The sharp call of a jay
catches me off guard.
Looking up, my face
is teased, tickled
by velvet, grey
kitten toes.
My sweater catches, snags
as I twirl and giggle
within it's paw-like grasp.
Ah yes! Revival!
Another winter endured
Another spring to celebrate
And I am but a human
ball of yarn
To the playful
pussy willow.

Thanks choshi! lol.....my hair used to whip around in the wind....but...since it was lopped off....it sort of twirls.

   Truly a touch of radiating Spring! Over the past couple of years, I've catalogued many poems, but this has got to be one of my very favorites.  I can't describe how free it makes me feel...

wonderful! i wish we had spring here in the Philippines, but we only have two seasons: rainy and dry...i bet springtime is beautiful for it has inspired a lot of poets such as you...beautiful sights, vividly presented-well done!
