Eleven-Eleven front page lights up with remembrance with praise with thankful support a contrast of recent days where loss danger chaos held the stage but today bravery valor honor are lauded today this side of war is lifted to our eyes to our hearts to our consciousness pleading for our prayers seeking our pause for applause not as much for a job well done as for a willingness to do the job at all a selflessness to stand to crawl to step into the fray of combat for a higher cause and hoping against all odds that the cause is not merely greed but freedom sought- oppression damned ©November 11, 2004 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, I'll seek the lighthouse evermore. |

So many reasons, so many sides, to do, or not to do... poetry such as this, hopefully, will bring a country, united. |
