Though the air is still, a gale blows within the warrior’s mind. Ever vigilant, in wait of the unseen foe whose only desire is death. He walks and stalks the streets beyond the sand hill, he slides through the night of your dreams. He whispers tauntingly to you....he waits till your shadow darkens his door. You, ever courageous, ever strong stand tall amongst the swaying reeds of a river flowing life’s blood endlessly toward a waiting sea. You, who dare not cast the first stone, shirk not from the thrust that silently comes. You amaze me, as I sit comfortably beside a fire...embers rising softly into a still night...For as my embers glow orange and hot, your own awaits the sudden storm's gust...and eyes squint into the night...as death crawls silently about, as death crawls.... silently about...and I cry for ~you~ |
