and took my watch off
and stomped it still

when I ran to the wall
and took out the battery
to freeze the clock there
at that moment in celebation

when I dialed time
and disconnected their line
so no one could move
the moment further along

if I looked in your eyes
and pressed your lips to mine
and said don't speak again
unless it is tomorrow

and you say the same thing again
