The Taste Of Discontentment

The day woke up slowly
bringing a blend of something
somewhere in between
disbelief and wondering
{or is that wandering..}
but still, I shook my head
and sipped my coffee
feeling it land in my gut
leaving me with the ache
of bitterness.

The already stained
and empty
coffee cup
you left in the sink
served only as reminder
that I never really have liked
the taste of discontentment......

I'm not afraid to speak my heart
and bare my soul, I'd rather know
the truth. What say you?

You have a marvelous and creative image going on here, a pleasure to read...evoked some memories as well.
