Eyeliner nightmares Dabbing my mind Suffering from historical shock Mocking whistles Like a foolish wristwatch Multiplying sand candles Locking stiff like a diseased Corridor, struggling to get in Powerful wielder This moralist of enthusiasm Concourse of revolutionaries Cynically I wax the floor With stunned faith An inferno of sirens Campaigning a violent nature Headhunters with a brochure To an all inclusive child labor camp And what the world is… Struggling against public rolls A wilderness empty Of mankind…deeply into our psyche Wandering the halls of summer With strange and unusual ideas Creating change, bargaining hope People tossed about, their bones Scattering like dust Bleeding screams, bending and shaking Selling pieces of fiery hauntings Running from body to body Sky, the color of pewter Picturesque narratives throbbing sore Rascal eyes shuffling back and forth Like an over protective mother Pulling cities out of the ground Throwing them at God On a fruit farm in the distant north Zephyr charms reflecting fourth Here be an intellect on lighter wings Awakening from all nightmare seams Do not intrude the past unknown Believe your part in long ago Foolish needs, as well as real ones Meeting both becomes the fusion Allowing time to sift and examine Whispering into growing cannons How ready will be the determined? Where leaves sprout to limbs anxious Hungry generations give evocative image In an entitled burn with the muses The end to world wide animal cruelty Where days center around their wheezing Giving way to the view of a new town With ambulances for the earthbound |

cynically I wax the floor... ~*~ I do enjoy your writing, Lee. I am always hard pressed for time to sift through the lines, layer by layer...but I get the impression that if there were ever a mother with eyes in the back of her head, fully equipped with six ears to hear all... it would be you. Please take this as the compliment it is... I see you going through your daily life, your beautiful mind bombarded with all that hangs around you and I swear...I do believe you must be blessed with a photographic mind. Kudos, my friend. This is one of the best I have read of yours, to date. |

"On a fruit farm in the distant north Zephyr charms reflecting fourth Here be an intellect on lighter wings Awakening from all nightmare seams" ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The bright side of a bad dream is: You always wakeup. And to wakeup to the vision in this verse would be comforting. Picturing a cool morning breeze whistling through the fruit trees and rolling hills. Enjoyed Lee J. JL |
